Lil RED

TILTON LISZT

Popsicles! Get your popsicles! Only six bucks! Oh, hello! Would you care for a Popsicle miss?

REBECCA

Yes please. Though, I think what you’re doing is really mean!

TILTON LISZT

Can I help it that I’m smarter than everyone? Present company excluded, of course. But do you get mad at yourself when you win a race?

REBECCA

No, why would-

TILTON LISZT

How about when you win an arm wrestling competition?

REBECCA

No.

TILTON LISZT

Or when you get the highest grade in class?

REBECCA

No!

TILTON LISZT

Why?

REBECCA

Because I’m the fastest and the strongest and the smartest!

TILTON LISZT

And I’m the best at selling! So should we be ashamed that we’re better than anyone?

REBECCA

No!

TILTON LISZT

I agree! Hey! You ever try selling popsicles?

REBECCA

No.

TILTON LISZT

You want to give it a try?

REBECCA

I don’t think so. I don’t know if my friends would want me to-

TILTON LISZT

Oh, I understand. Your friends are probably smarter and better than you and-

REBECCA

No, they’re not!

TILTON LISZT

Then I guess, you’re probably scared-

REBECCA

No, I’m not! Move over! Popsicles! Fresh cold popsicles! Told you I’m the best!

TILTON LISZT

You sure are.

Lil Red and her friends at Adam Smith Elementary have always banded together to share in the weekly delight of popsicle day at lunch.

This all changes when a new student, Tilton Liszt, hatches a scheme that threatens to tear their friendship apart.
